The One Belt One Road (OBOR) project initiated by the President Xi Jing Ping, took shape in March 2015. It is envisaged to connect vibrant East Asia and developed Europe via Silk Road Economic Belt, linking China with European countries via the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Its ultimate goal is to facilitate the trade and investment in Euroasia and promote economic growth.
